Daytona Beach & Neighboring Beach Communities
Daytona Basic Community – Road Information
Daytona -(the beach of) – is said to have 23 miles of shoreline. A close look at a map will show that the 23 miles begins in Ponce Inlet Florida, across from the Light House and extends north of Ormond By the Sea with the charming metropolis of Daytona Beach centrally located. Let’s travel the 23 miles together so you will have all of your ducks in a row and you will be the knowledgeable Daytona traveler when you arrive for your perfect each holiday !!
To begin our drive at Lighthouse Park in Ponce Inlet, we are driving north::
Look across the Inlet – that is New Symrna Beach, let’s include NSB, for a general reference, but we know it’s across the water.

Now the difference between towns may be as simple as a sign. You may blink and not even realize that you have traveled thru town, but there are some differences, which include the coded beach ramps, I tried to figure out the beach ramp system but gave up. There will be a beach ramp about every 3 blocks, but they are not all open points. You will find open beach ramps every few miles and more often if you are in the highly traveled areas like Daytona Beach.

Across the water, shops – restaurants – condos – lodging. V cute…

The view begins to change, more beach and sand dunes and few locations on water, most are built across from beach.
I have of course found you a map illustrating some of this::

This map was found on the site of www.See-Daytona.com which has a bunch of sweet information. (I recommend you look that site over too…but do not forget to come back!!)
It is a .pdf file, and should be printable. In any event, I have not been able to make all towns in a 7 day stay. I usually find a good spot and camp there for as many beach days as I can get. Go !! Explore!! Report back!!
Let us know what your favorite Daytona Beach towns are!!
